Space Story and NFTS

So recently I applied for the Directing Animation Masters at the National Film and Television School. Following in the footsteps of people like Nick Park who was an allumni. Had to partake in a week long workshop, with various exercises. One involved bringing along a storyboard and developing over the course of the week with help from tutors and fellow applicants. Was an awesome week, made some great friends.

Good news is a got in! WOO!

Anyway, here is the animatic I showed at the end of the week, along with some art development I did this week inspired by it.

Death Mountain

Been doodling Gorons lately. They were my favourite tribe in the Zelda games.
Painted some of the sketches up and put them in their natural habitat.

The Death Mountain Crew.

Batman vs Superman

For some reason started drawing Batman the other day. Had fun doing some sketches and felt like designing a version of superman in the same style. Not particularly excited for Batman vs Superman, but it did reignite my love for Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. Love how much of a cringey douche superman is in that book.

Knocked these up as a gift for my brothers birthday. Hope you enjyo them.

Making a Movie

So i pitched my film to the course on Thursday and on Friday found out people liked it enough to want it made. Gonna be a long year, but gonna be sick at the end of it. Anyways here is some artwork i have yet to share. Music is in the works too and is sounding sick.

Ripping off Frank Miller

Just got the book "Ronin" by Frank Miller. Loved the ink work by Miller as per usual. However, just like when I read 300 the thing that struck me the most was Lynn Varley's colouring and in Ronin there's a particularly striking colour palette. Anyway thought I'd try explore this with my own film pitche chracter.
